pen 57: papermate flexgrip elite

the papermate flexgrip elite is a great example of a pen that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is still a solid product. these pens average around a dollar and change a piece, a covered in a soft rubber film for comfort, and has ink that is clean, consistent and lacks the skipping stuttering flow that some of the other pens in this price range sometimes have.

the ink has a great range of value, making it ideal for roughing out a drawing and then inking once you have the line the way you want them. this pen also inks over graphite with no problem as well. the body is of a solid construction, while light in weight it doesn't feel cheap. as illustrated this pen come in a regular and retractable tip, and is available in five different colors.

you really can't go wrong with this one, i comfortably recommend this pen to all you pen-o-philes... er, hmmn, i probably should rethink that name. pen lovers... better.
