pen 125: sharpie rub-a-dub fine point fabric pen

there was a time when, if you wanted to write on your shirt, or shoes, or backpack, your choices were pretty limited, especially on things that would be washed on a regular basis. these awesome alterations to your wardrobe were short lived, at best, and required constant touching up to keep it nice and dark, eventually the designs would fade and it just looked old and cheap and meh.

today's pen, the sharpie rub-a-dub fabric marker, has kinda changed that.

this pen is basically a sharpie fine point pen that was specifically made to be used on fabric, somehow they figured out a solution to the pen snagging on the fabric and creating irregular lines and blots where the fabric bunched up under the tip, this is even more noticeable when using the pen on paper,
it has a very smooth glide. the ink seems to stand up to the rigors of machine washing, at least better than the regular counterpart, and is basically identical in pretty much every other way.

if you are going to be working with fabric, i would say that you should get one of these pens as opposed to the regular model. they rent really all that expensive and they do seem to work way better with those types of mediums.
